Albert Bixler was an officer with the Detroit Police Department who later became the vigilante Bone Machine.

Biography[]

During his time as a cop, Bixler worked at the Metro South Precinct along with Officers Alex J. Murphy and John T. Cable. One day outside Harlan's Donuts, the three briefly discussed the serial killer dubbed the Motor City Mangler.[1]

Sometime afterwards, he got a job in Security Concepts at Omni Consumer Products, where he was initiated into The Trust, a sect within OCP that planned to overthrow the current executive ruling. His weaponry was provided by Cable's ex-wife, Sara Cable, from a classified OCP project at Security Concepts. He used such weaponry to carry out numerous attacks, terrorizing Delta City.[1]

Bone Machine interrupted an altercation between RoboCop and the gang Da Bomzz who had taken several hostages. After the hostages evacuated, Bone Machine opened fire on RoboCop, knocking him over, and then killed the leader of Da Bomzz by shooting the bomb strapped to his chest.[1]

Bixler became upset when MediaNet publicly identified Bone Machine as Cable. Sara Cable came to Bixler and provided him with a tracking device for RoboCop, who was on Cable's trail. She promised Bixler that if he succeeded in killing Cable, he would be reinstated as the city's top cop.[1]

At Metro South, Bone Machine burst in, where RoboCop had confronted Cable. After a gunfight, Bone Machine grabbed Cable and held him at gunpoint. However, RoboCop was forced to fatally shoot Cable due to his programming. Crying out in a fit of rage, RoboCop charged at Bone Machine, firing his weapon at the villain. This assault caused Bone Machine to be knocked down onto the ground. Disoriented and without his skull mask (which had been shot right off his face by RoboCop), RoboCop pinned him down. RoboCop recognized Officer Albert Bixler, and this only seems to anger him. "You?" he said as he looked down at him. Bone Machine then asks if RoboCop knows him, to which RoboCop replies no. In his final act, Bone Machine drew a backup weapon and pointed it right at RoboCop's face, while RoboCop himself drew his data spike out. RoboCop stabbed him to death, continuing to stab him until called out to by the dying Cable.[1]

Weapons and Equipment[]

  • Phalanx Bio-Booster Armor: Is equipped with bulletproof armor and a skull-shaped mask fixed on his helmet, which is equipped with a laser pointer.
  • Quadra Guns: Albert Bixler's primary weapons were the Quadra Guns, dual cylindrical gun platforms mounted with four high-caliber cannons on each arm, capable of firing a variety of weapons, including tear gas and automatic machine gun fire. The Quadra Guns could also double as rocket launchers. During the bank raid between RoboCop and Da Bomzz, Bone Machine utilized a carbon grenade to disable RoboCop.
