Marvin Kuzak was the Mayor of Detroit succeeding Gibson.

Biography[]

Sometime after signing a contract with the mega-corporation OCP, Kuzak stormed into the corporation's headquarters with Poulos to confront the Old Man about the Detroit Police Department strike which had been engineered by OCP. The Old Man explained to him that the city owed them $37 million and their contract gave them the right to foreclose. Kuzak understood that they deliberately undermined the credit and engineered the police strike, which drove him into a fury before Poulos walked him out.[1]

Later, he presented a charity show pleading for the viewers to donate funds for the government treasury. Their goal was $37,480,911, but they did not succeed. All changed when he received a call from a viewer, who was Nuke Cult member Angie, who had access to the recently deceased cult leader Cain's cash.[1]

During a meeting with Hob and Angie at an abandoned warehouse, they offered him and his council $50 million in exchange for keeping the law away from the highly-addictive narcotic, Nuke. RoboCop 2 then raided the warehouse and massacred the gang along with the city council yet Kuzak escaped on a sewer drain before the cyborg opened fire on him, deeming him the only survivor of the massacre. He later appeared on Mediabreak, denying any knowledge on how council members were found dead next to drug dealers and "promised" that this would be investigated.[1]

He later visited the Civic Centrum, a 100-story building given to the city by OCP and confronted the Old Man directly about his plans of privatization of the city, making it un-democratic and unaffordable; to which the Old Man retorted that anyone who bought a share of OCP stock would be granted voting rights, thus making it as democratic as possible.[1]

After the havoc caused by RoboCop 2, Kuzak spoke to the media, promising that OCP would not own the city for long, but the journalists ran away from him, seeking a statement from the Old Man.[1]

Later, Kuzak's niece Melissa's 6000 SUX was stolen, causing Kuzak to storm into Metro West and complain his predicament to Warren Reed.[2]

Kuzak was vehemently against OCP's plan to essentially take over Detroit and construct Delta City, and he managed to delay the project by a significant period of time. While running for re-election against John Mills, who had ties to OCP, Kuzak feared that Mills would gain RoboCop's support. Kuzak went to the precinct and summoned RoboCop to Reed's office in a bid to gain his endorsement.[2]
